Please join us in warmly welcoming Father Nicholas Emmerling , who has been newly assigned to St. Margaret of York as a parochial vicar. Fr. Emmerling is the oldest of eight children and was raised in the northwestern part of Cincinnati. He grew up at St. Ignatius Parish and he now attends St. Ann in Groesbeck. He was homeschooled from fourth grade through high school before beginning his priestly formation at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, followed by Mount St. Mary Seminary in Cincinnati beginning in 2021. After completing a total of nine years of seminary formation, Fr. Emmerling will be ordained a priest on Saturday, May 16, 2026. During his time at Mount St. Mary’s, Fr. Emmerling’s father passed away. He shared that through this difficult season his family grew even closer. Reflecting on that time, he said, “The experience renewed my fervor for being a spiritual father in the priesthood.” We are grateful for Fr. Emmerling’s holy vocation and look forward to his ministry among us, which will begin July 1, 2026. Fr.
