Lessons and Carols - December 3

Join Us for a SMOY Tradition!

Lessons and Carols is a cherished Advent tradition that weaves the Scripture of our salvation history with anthems of "the lessons" sung by our Adult and Children's Choirs. It invites us to reflect on the story of salvation while celebrating the coming of Christ through music and prayer.

The event is free, but we ask you to bring a canned good to donate to our local food pantry. Please join us for hot cocoa and cookies in the Gathering Space after the service!

Gate of Heaven Cemetery

Friday, December 5th, 7:00-9:30 PM

Join us at Gate of Heaven for a special Advent evening of fellowship and sacred music, featuring performances by several local parish choirs, including Saint Margaret of York and Our Lady of Hope parish families. Enjoy complimentary appetizers and refreshments as we gather in the spirit of the season.

During the evening, Gate of Heaven will be accepting donations to help provide car seats for Pregnancy Center Plus.

In the spirit of giving, Gate of Heaven will joyfully match your contributions, doubling the blessing for young families in need. Your generosity will make a lasting impact.

Join us for an engaging evening as we dive into two accounts of Jesus’ life—the Gospels of Mark and Luke—with the insightful guidance of Dr. Matthew Genung.

Advent Penance Service

December 15 6:00-8:30 pm

Advent is a time of waiting, hope, and renewal: a call to examine our lives and draw closer to God. Please join us at our Advent Penance Service on December 15, 2025 from 6:30-8:00 pm. Mass on this day will be held at 8:15 am and there will be no Adoration.

Epiphany Dinner with Heart and Soul

Make plans for our 2nd annual Christmas/Epiphany Dinner, Friday, January 16th at 6:00 pm at deSha’s. We will have a buffet like the fabulous offerings last year. Cost is $45/person with checks made out to SMOY dropped off to the SMOY Parish Office to secure your reservation. There will be a cash bar available. Look for further details in the upcoming evite.
