An Update from Our Seminarian, Peter
To my SMOY family: it is hard to believe I am starting my third year at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary! This past summer, my parish assignment was in the Finneytown/College Hill area at the Our Lady of Divine Providence Family of Parishes, which includes St. Vivian, St. Bartholomew, Assumption, St. Clare, and St. Bernard. It was a great learning experience and filled with opportunities to evangelize, help out the parish staff, and see firsthand the day-to-day joys of the priesthood. Classes have begun and we are back in the full swing of things here at the seminary, with most of them focused on philosophy, Church history, and Latin this year. I continue to pray each day for Fr. Ed, Fr. Emmerling, and all the SMOY staff and parishioners, and I look forward to being able to come back during breaks throughout the school year.
