Parish Religion Program

SMOY’s PRP classes offer a structured approach to support our parents and to reinforce the Christian values that you have introduced at home. In a class setting, our children have an opportunity to talk about their faith with classmates their own age and with a devoted catechist. Our program uses the Christ Our Life texts from Loyola Press. All grade levels include deepening understanding of our Creed, Sacraments, Scripture, Morality, Prayer and Catholic Social Teachings.

Journey of Faith

All youth faith formation programs are dependent upon the commitment of parents and the parish family, as partners and as members of a loving community of believers. Various programs are offered periodically in the parish and throughout the Archdiocese to further the knowledge of the catechist in the Catholic faith which, in turn, allows them to better educate their students.

Our programs provide quality faith formation for the children of our parish, but also for their parents and families. Active participation in on-going faith formation is expected of all parents whose children participate in the program.  Parents who are regular participants in family or adult faith formation attest to the ways in which their lives and the life of their family is enriched as a result of their commitment to grow as disciples.

It is the responsibility of the parents to plan for the Mass attendance of their children.
